Recent Events

 Past few days has been quite a lot of drama for me... now where do I start...

1) Recently went to Taipei to visit my friend there. It's a very interesting place that I have wanted to visit for the longest time but until recently, haven't done so. It's a nice and clean place, which reminds me a lot of Japan (possibly due to the fact that it was occupied by Japanese for about 50 years or so previously). Pictures can be found in Facebook. Cost of living is quite similar to KL, although the food seems a little more expensive. Liquor and cigarette (according to my friend) is very cheap though. What next? I might take up my friend's offer to have a look in Makati as well. Yet to be confirmed.

2)  Last week, it was Thanksgiving, then there was Black Friday, and followed by Cyber Monday. Reminds me of last year when I was in Toronto during the same period. Lots of good deals of electronics on these 2 days. Feels a bit nostalgic as well, thinking about the time I've spent in Toronto.

3) I got to know a girl about 2 weeks back over dinner with a few friends. Then we chatted and she told me she was going through a break up. And then I found out that her birthday is coming soon, so I decided to treat her to a birthday dinner to cheer her up. Then the whole thing took a dramatic turn, where the ex though I was the reason for the break up. He actually showed up that night because she revealed where we were. He rudely interrupted us, and probably wanted to punch me. Too bad he didn't, or he would be in a lot of trouble. Oh well, anyways in the end she decided to get back with him, so drama ends there I guess. At least the dinner was good.

4) This girl whom I chat with a lot, suddenly decided to ignore me for reasons unknown to me. Totally have no idea why or what did I do to her to deserve this. Oh well... whatever

5) Chatted with an old friend and found out he is going through a nasty divorce. Actually, I did noticed from his FB activities that something seemed not right. But I didn't wanted to ask him about it until he tell me about it himself

“Why did the British wear red coats in battle?”

A long time ago, Britain and France were at war.
During one battle, the French captured a British Colonel.
They took him to their headquarters, and the French General began to question him.

Curiously, the French General asked, “Why do you British officers all wear red coats?
Don’t you know the red material makes you easier targets for us to shoot at?”

In his casual, matter-of-fact, way, the British officer informed the General that the reason British officers wear red coats is so that if they are wounded, the blood won’t show, and the men they are leading won’t panic.

And that is why, from that day forward, all French Army officers wear brown trousers.
