What the...

On the 4th of June, our "brilliant" government decided to drop the bomb, announcing that our fuel prices will be semi-floating... with Petrol going on a RM0.78 hike, while Diesel going on a RM1.00 hike, to be reviewed every month from now on. And what do they do as compensation? A measly RM625 cash rebate for car owners with vehicles less than 2000cc. That's probably the amount an average working class would spend for petrol in a month (with the latest rate).

Just a few days back before the incident, I was discussing with my dad on the issue of banning vehicles from neighbouring country from fueling up in M'sia. I was just saying, maybe they should reduce the subsidy, then give us some kind of tax or cash rebate. Speak of the devil... because it actually happened. But not at the kind of rates I would expect.

Now everything is going up... flour, sugar, cooking oil, rice, now petrol... except for our salary. What to do? Freelance? Moonlighting? Do part time jobs? Or like what our government says, "change lifestyle"? Rubbish.
